OUR STORY

Sometimes life throws you a curve ball, or 10...  when that happened to us in 2017 we decided to turn life's lemons into a giant pitcher of Texas lemonade.  We packed up our Ohio home of more than 20 years and started Lemonade Ranch.

We've met many fantastic people and are loving every day of this new life!

ABOUT LEMONADE RANCH

Lemonade Ranch is a 20-acre property in Chico, TX.  When we first arrived, we never expected to raise cattle - we were city folks that didn't know a cow from a heifer, steer from a bull...  We bought a few chickens, built a chicken coop, rescued the abandoned donkey on the uninhabited, adjacent property then decided to buy a longhorn - more as a lawn ornament than anything else.  One turned into a herd and off we went.

In addition to the typical animals on a ranch - cows, donkeys, dogs, chickens, horses - we are also home to a sulcata tortoise named Phil, 6 parrots,  and a few ducks.  We've repaired a barn and loafing sheds, learned the difference between good hay and bad, discovered that niacin (peas!) can cure developmental issues in ducks, built fences, enclosed porches, run electrical, and are navigating the process of herding cows through the chute. We learn something new every day - the most important being that we can do things we never thought possible!
